Who we are...

The Group for Sustainable Regional Development is based at the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the University of Azores. The group is involved in teaching, research and provides services, adopting an interdisciplinary approach.

The teaching is mainly focused on the Master on Nature Conservation and Management. Our research has targeted issues such as cost-benefit analysis, water management, marine management, land use planning, regional development, and agro-environmental management. Our team has seven researchers working in the fields of economics, fisheries, agronomics, geography, and environment.
