It is an experimental observatory for the Marine Boundary Layer of the atmosphere situated in the Terceira Island of the Azorean archipelago. It is composed of two main sites, one placed in the "Observatório José Agostinho" (OJA) where meteorological parameters and radiation measurements are essentially made, the other at the coast "Observatório Experimental da Serreta" (OES). These observatories are starting with two main objectives:

• Establishement of a permanent platform for monitoring the Marine Boundary Layer of the North Atlantic Region.
• Develop Technical skills to elaborate protocols to remotely and automatically monitoring the atmosphere.
